All the world is in his money
Fills desire and sets the table
He chooses from a smorgasbord
And pretty ladies wait on him, fattening by flattery
Becoming spoiled

One day he remembered simple fare
A plain meal that once filled his belly

Tho her appetite is poor and wanting
she refused his crumbs, not used to richness
Her love is kind not coined and he went hungry
