No head for business
once upon a time, in the not so long ago
there was a headless boy
He tried so hard to get ahead
he rang the boss who said, “Come in give me a hand”
Now, he’d just got his foot in the door
when suddenly with no eye on the ball
that promised face to face did not come off
Watched by two faced backstabbers who said it all
“he’s after your head” to the boss who soon fled
The moral of course
the cart goes after the horse
because carts don’t have eyes, can’t see where they’re going
same as headless guys, who can’t look anywhere
let alone to the future
I tried to tell him this
but without ears he didn’t hear me
I want to be kind, to ease his mind
I want to give him a kiss but you guessed it, no lips
now I’m off my head
I need a body to love, oh wait…
this has a happy ending after all
