rainbow lorikeet

Little ones gather round.
Warm yourselves by my light
Hear a tale told to me,
in bits n pieces over time by the Dreamkin memory

One day the princess moon was sad
so sad that teardrops turned to storms
She swallowed the sun to soak up the rain
But it was black and wet and the people knew fear
they prayed hard for dawn and nightmare’s end
hmm she thought what to do…

so she greeted the day with a big wide yawn.
out flew words with wings so bright
the people laughed, it kept them high
flying as you see today
chitter chatter Aussie way

this is the bit I’ve come to know
the tale of time, of the lorikeet rainbow
