Let me tell you the tale of Nefelibata
How long ago she was still & bound to earth
Her roots ground and thoughts in marsh grasses
Her shadows long as the darkness grew near
She knew no more than the sadness of falling
And so she sang her dirge,
a pale watery lament, wisteria weeping

When the mountain heard, he echoed it along the valley.
The wind picked her song for the stones in the river.
The sky sent for clouds to hear better the rain,
That was the day
the day of her rising
when her song found its wings and all dreams were born.
She walked with those clouds,
Her soul learned to fly
Her footprints made legends in wandering minds

We, of fey feelings and marshmallow sighs.
We honor the name of Nefelibata
